Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Description:

  • Provide support to research scientists in the completion of research projects or activities, including analytical method validation
  • Conduct routine sample analysis, routine experiments, organizing and communicating results
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, and handling sample request
  • Ensure corporate EHS and Food Safety compliance
  • Sample preparation
  • Will be documenting/upkeeping in Excel
  • Schedule Mon - Fri / 8 AM - 4 PM CST.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in in Chemistry, Food Science, or related scientific fields,
  • Skills: Analytical, HPLC, Lifting 50 IBS.
  • Minimum 2 years chemistry lab experience (higher education can substitute experience), including experience with standard chemistry lab glassware and techniques
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening)
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently effectively and cooperatively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn
  • Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Natural Product Chemistry, Food Science, or related scientific fields
  • Experience in an analytical laboratory or natural product research
  • Experience in food analysis
  • HPLC, UHPLC, and HPLC-MS experience

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
