Companion Caregiver Job Description

Salary: $18 - $20 / per hour

The Companion Caregiver provides services to patients/clients in their places of residence that includes, but is not limited to, certain care. Services include:

  • Providing socialization and mild exercise programs
  • Encouraging medication compliance with reminders
  • Supervising patient/client safety
  • Assisting with grocery shopping and light housekeeping

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides various care services
  • Arrives and leaves on time
  • Maintains client confidentiality
  • Observes infection control procedures
  • Communicates effectively with office staff
  • Adheres to company standards

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • One year of relevant experience preferred
  • Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills required
  • Compassionate nature is essential
  • Strong communication and English language proficiency required
  • Computer proficiency is a must
