Position: Guest Services Associate at Unity School of Christianity - Unity Village, MO

Position Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $15.50 Hourly

Description:

Position Summary: As a Guest Services Associate, your main responsibility is to provide exceptional assistance to guests and visitors during their stay, ensuring a positive lodging experience.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Handle inbound phone calls and in-person requests to make lodging reservations and address guest inquiries.
  • Conduct check-in and check-out procedures through the hotel management system.
  • Process payments, balance receipts, and maintain accurate lodging reports.
  • Assist with kitchen tasks such as preparing food items, washing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Ensure punctual attendance and comply with company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Utilize the electronic time management system for timekeeping.

Non-Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform housekeeping duties and assist with guest travel arrangements when needed.
  • Be available for overtime, weekend, and holiday shifts as required.
  • Collaborate with other local hotels and Unity departments as requested.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
Competency Statement(s):
  • Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and adaptability to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Deliver high-quality service while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment based on integrity and honesty.

Experience:
  • At least one year of hotel/motel or guest services experience.
  • Proficiency in customer service, cash handling, and communication skills.
  • Prior exposure to office tasks, cleaning responsibilities, and basic computer operations.

Computer Skills:
  • Proficient in MS Office tools like Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Basic keyboarding and data entry skills required.
  • Experience with hotel management software preferred.

Certificates & Licenses:
  • Valid Jackson County Food Handler's Permit (training provided).

Other Requirements:
  • Successful completion of pre-employment skills testing.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish/English when specified.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Diverse range of physical activities based on job role.
  • Operational tasks include indoor work, sitting, lifting, and using equipment.
  • Adherence to safety protocols including personal protective equipment.
  • Engage with Company Equipment for efficient operations.

Work Environment: Dynamic setting in a Lodging and Conference Center environment.
