Position Overview: As the Vice President of Finance, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company. You will play a crucial role in managing the financial strategy, planning, and analysis of our episodic programming. This position requires a deep understanding of the television production industry, including the intricacies of episodic content financing and accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Leadership:
    • Lead the finance and accounting functions, ensuring the financial health and stability of the company.
    • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability.
    • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Episodic Programming Finance:
    • Manage the financial planning and analysis for all episodic programming.
    • Oversee the budgeting, costing, and financial reporting of individual shows.
    • Develop and maintain Ultimates models for the library of shows, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
    • Provide financial oversight and support for production accounting, ensuring accurate cost tracking and reporting.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute long-term strategic plans.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making and drive business performance.
    • Analyze financial performance and key metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes.
    • Manage cash flow, funding, and investment strategies.
    • Oversee the negotiation and management of contracts, including talent, distribution, and licensing agreements.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including production teams, network partners, and investors.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Extensive experience in finance leadership roles within the television production industry.
  • Strong background in episodic programming finance, including budgeting, costing, and financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to build and manage Ultimates models for a library of shows.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
