A day in the life:
  • - Greet customers and take orders.
  • - Prepare and serve food and beverage items.
  • - Serve as cashier and handle transactions.
  • - Perform basic food preparation and cleaning duties.
  • - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
  • - Assist with inventorying and stocking.
  • - Provide facility and program information.
  • - Support during emergencies as needed.
  • - Perform other assigned duties.
Shifts available:
  • This part-time position offers various shifts throughout the year.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of: Customer service and basic food service practices, basic arithmetic.
  • Ability and skill to: Follow directions and procedures, multitask efficiently, communicate effectively with all individuals, handle transactions accurately, operate a point of sale system, and maintain positive working relationships.
What we're looking for:
  • Education, Experience, and Training: High school diploma or currently attending school, some related volunteer or work experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Certification: Must have or obtain an Oregon Food Handler Card within 5 days of hire.
Supervision Received:
  • Works under Recreation Coordinator supervision and direction from The Pavilion Supervisor.
Supervision Exercised:
  • No supervisory responsibilities.
Working Conditions:
  • Work primarily in a concession stand, potential exposure to heat, noise, steam, fumes, and odors.
  • Physical demands include lifting up to 40 pounds, bending, reaching, and precise hand movements.
  • Tasks may involve mental and visual attention, especially during evening and weekend hours.
