City of Hillsboro is seeking a highly motived and detail oriented Janitorial Coordinator who can lead a team of day porters as well as manage the contracted services that provide City owned buildings a clean and safe environment.

This is an opportunity to work in a positive and supportive team environment providing services to City functions that serve the community.

In this role, we need someone who is self-driven and encouraging to lead our team of Day Porters and provide facility cleanliness with the health and safety of our employees and community members in mind.

Here, you'll be able to handle a wide range of time sensitive projects and tasks across all levels of the City.

The focus of this Coordinator position is to provide supervision for janitorial and other cleaning services.

This is includes, but is not limited to cleaning interiors of buildings, window washing, pressure washing exterior surfaces, pest control, and other types of cleaning services.

Responsibilities IncludeOversees internal Day Porter staff.
Coordinates work performed by contractors.
Meets with departments for understanding of needs and provide customer service.
Creates and manages multiple contracts through their lifecycle.
Provides input and monitors the budget.
Oversees the entry and management of data in a CMMS.Supports other functions of the divisions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a staff of 12 or more employees and working with contractors, an understanding of contract procurements, janitorial work experience in a commercial environment, budgeting awareness, computer skills, good communication skills both written and oral, and excellent customer service.

Maintenance CoordinatorAcceptable Experience and TrainingHigh School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in a commercial janitorial setting, including 2 years of lead or supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Any certifications in commercial janitorial techniques is a plus, but not required.
