Overview:


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Navigation Specialists who will work to assist clients to secure and/or maintain sustainable housing.


Duties:

  • Assess eligibility of potential clients to qualify for the Mainstream and Emergency Housing Vouchers
  • Assist clients in filling out eligibility paperwork and gathering supporting documents
  • Assist in answering client questions regarding the Housing Choice Voucher Program
  • Stay up to date on local housing vacancies
  • Make connections and create relationships with local landlords and property managers
  • Conduct After Reach Intakes including, participant guide, contract, personal information, Self-Sufficiency Matrix, goals, and Homeless Prevention Tool assessments.
  • Input all service interactions into Clarity.
  • Attend various meetings as a representative in the JPA, CoC, CES, HMIS, and Homeless Roundtable committees.
  • Collaborate with community partners, local agencies, and service providers to enhance outreach efforts and expand resources.
  • Commit to serve our clients with excellence in light of our mission and values.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 2+ years Human Services experience

Desired:

  • Lived experience OR previous experience in housing navigation, social services, or community organizing
  • Bachelor's Degree and 1+ years of Human Services experience
