Openwork is working with a client in Taylor, TX that is looking for a Kennel Technician As a Kennel Technician you will be working on tasks that include maintaining a safe and sanitary facility for animals and people providing humane handling and care for all shelter animals. Responsibilities:
  • Feed, walk, exercise, and bathe animals as needed.
  • Administer medications.
  • Clean and sanitize inside kennels.
  • Feed and water animals.
  • Wash bedding and all bowls.
  • Sweeping/mopping floors, wiping counters, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, and checking equipment and maintaining of supplies of the full facility.
  • Assist other staff members and perform animal adoptions, helping restrain an animal as well as helping educate clients with their pets.
  • Maintains up-to-date records and files on animals collected and all other computer related, clerical duties as required.
Requirements:
  • 6+ months of computer skills and previous shelter duties experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Texas Driver's license required.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and reach up to 5ft.
