Adolescent/Adult Psychiatrist to provide medical and health services for all inpatients of Belmont, by coordinating medication administration, evaluations and mental health assessments.

A preference will be considered for adult psychiatrists who are interested in seeing some older adolescents as well as Child & Adolescents psychiatrists interested in seeing some adult patients as needed.

We are the largest independent teaching facility affiliated with Thomas Jefferson University, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Einstein Medical Center, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and offer teaching opportunities for medical students, residents, and fellows.


We are located in Philadelphia allowing for both professional and educational growth with its many universities and colleges along with lifestyle activities from hiking and biking in Fairmont Park to skiing in the Poconos.

Responsibilities:

Summary:
Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.

Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.

Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.

Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.

Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.

Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.

One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred.

Licensed in the the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:
Board certification in psychiatry


Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
