Job Summary

Performs a variety of housekeeping duties for the office buildings on campus; cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies. Sweeps, vacuums, mops, and waxes floors; sweeps sidewalks; cleans windows, dusts, and polishes furniture and fixtures. Empties trash cans regularly; collects trash from grounds; ensures the neatness and cleanliness of the office buildings on a daily basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to perform general maintenance and cleaning activities for buildings and grounds. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Education and Experience

No formal education or experience is required or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to use a computer. Ability to exert the physical energy required to perform housekeeping and minor maintenance work, continuous walking, standing climbing, and carrying light objects (less than 50lbs.)
