Job Description: Financial Accountant

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join our finance team. As the right hand to the VP of Finance, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including month-end closing, P&L review, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, FP&A, cost optimization, and process automation. This is a dynamic role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle ad hoc tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Month-End Close: Perform the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
  • P&L Review: Conduct thorough reviews of the Profit and Loss statements to identify variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on your analysis.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements, implementing strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Process Automation: Develop and implement process automation solutions to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or relevant professional certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in a financial accounting role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Self-Starter with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
