Join our client, a prominent national chain of local retail stores known for unique high-quality products and top-notch customer service in the industry as an IT Financial Analyst, a crucial role supporting the company's dynamic IT team.

Combining finance and technology, this position presents a distinctive opportunity to play a significant part in handling purchase orders, invoices, telecom billing analysis, and special financial analysis project modeling.

Location:
Onsite - San Gabriel Valley area

This is a 6-month+ contract position, with potential for full-time employment conversion. Expect a salary of about 40-45/hr plus benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all IT transactions adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Manage purchase orders, invoices, and scrutinize telecom billing
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis, trending, and project modeling
  • Compile and summarize data for financial status and risk reports
  • Create executive-level dashboard reports for strategic decisions
  • Assist IT procurement operations and ensure timely invoice processing
  • Collaborate with IT teams to align project statuses and financials
  • Assess and enhance internal controls and forecasting methods

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance preferred
  • Must possess strong GAAP knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced functions)
  • Familiarity with SAP Ariba, Apptio, Jira, or equivalent tools is beneficial
  • Solid analytical skills with a teamwork-oriented problem-solving approach
  • Familiarity with accounting policies and standards
  • Experience in IT equipment procurement, inventory controls, and telecom billing management is advantageous
