The Duke Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is looking for an Obstetrics and Gynecology Generalist to join their network of generalist practices in Wake County (Holly Springs and Cary) for a faculty position. They seek dedicated practitioners with experience and recent training focused on delivering compassionate patient care in a community-based setting.
Duke Obstetrics and Gynecology consists of various clinical divisions, including over 100 faculty members, residents, sub-specialty fellows, advanced practice providers, and medical students. The department is committed to advancing women's care through research, education, and clinical services. They are driving innovations in women's reproductive health care, benefiting the community, patients, trainees, faculty, and overall healthcare system.
The obstetricians and gynecologists at this clinic cater to patients of all ages, offering a range of services from initial visits to family planning and menopause care. Patients receiving prenatal care deliver their babies at the WakeMed Women's Pavilion and Birthplace in Cary. The Department provides obstetrics services for low and high-risk pregnancies with referrals to Duke Maternal Fetal Medicine when needed. They also offer gynecologic surgical services, from in-office procedures to inpatient surgery.
Besides General Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Department covers major sub-specialties such as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, and Community Health & Family Planning.
Candidates should hold an MD/DO degree and have completed an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency. Licensure by the North Carolina Medical Board will be necessary before starting employment. Rank, tenure status, and compensation will be based on training, experience, and skills.
