Maxim Healthcare is currently seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who will be responsible for applying the nursing process and providing patient/client care as per company standards.

The LVN/LPN will deliver services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or clinical designee, following contract and/or program directives.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nurse or vocational nursing program preferred
  • Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse license in specific state required
  • Complies with accepted professional standards and practice required
  • One year prior professional nursing experience preferred
  • Willingness to participate in skills advancement training or novice nurse program if applicable
  • Current CPR certification for direct patient care
  • PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Successful completion of Maxim Orientation and Compliance Training, and all other assigned trainings as applicable required
  • Successful completion of Maxim's Competency Program required
  • Proficiency in the English language required
  • Current Health Certificate (per facility contract or state regulation) required
  • Must meet all federal, state, local, and contract requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, implements, and evaluates patient/client care
  • Provides skilled nursing care as per prescribed orders
  • Identifies and documents changes in patient/client condition
  • Adheres to professional practice standards
  • Ensures patient/client safety
  • Provides effective interpersonal communication with stakeholders
  • Attends case conferences and education in-services
