Job Summary:
The Café Manager at Bon Appétit Management Company is responsible for ensuring the overall success of the Café while maintaining client culture, health regulations, and Bon Appétit's food quality standards. This role involves managing administrative tasks, financial analysis, and safety protocols while leading and training the team to meet customer satisfaction and client expectations.

Position Objectives:

  • Perform high-quality work within set deadlines.
  • Maintain professional interactions with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team.
  • Manage tasks independently while communicating with others.

Major Duties:

  • Ensure all set timelines are met.
  • Uphold and teach Bon Appétit's culinary values.
  • Take charge of the café and demonstrate a love for food.
  • Verify that all purchases align with Bon Appétit's sustainability guidelines.
  • Enforce the Client/Bon Appétit contract.

Functions and Tasks:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff.
  • Conduct training programs to enhance kitchen staff skills.
  • Oversee adherence to uniform standards and employee handbook.
  • Address staff concerns and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Manage payroll processes accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with hiring and training standards.

Food Programs:

  • Ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation at a reasonable cost.
  • Meet customer and client expectations.
  • Manage inventory and culinary setups based on account standards.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste sustainably.

Customer Service and Client Relations:

  • Represent the company professionally in all interactions.
  • Respond promptly to comments and complaints.
  • Resolve customer complaints effectively.
  • Maintain honest communication with the client.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have a college degree or HRI degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a high-volume food service establishment. Additionally, you must have a strong interest in sustainability practices, be proficient in various software applications, and comply with uniform standards.
