Description and Requirements

The Lead of Retail Services plays a key role in the representation of Acosta, clients, and customers by effectively leading and executing reset and remodel work, ensuring plan-o-grams are properly implemented, new items are placed correctly, voids are addressed, and special merchandising activities are carried out. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, a quick learner, pays close attention to detail, and excels in team or independent settings. They must have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to build relationships with partners.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a team lead in organizing and executing resets. Collaborate with store staff to schedule and communicate reset activities.
  • Follow plan-o-grams accurately to complete resets. Possess a good understanding of merchandising and retail terminology.
  • Handle tasks such as shelf movement and cleaning, proper display of merchandise, correct placement of shelf strips and tags, checking date codes and plan-o-gram accuracy, and managing packouts, restocks, and reorders as needed.
  • Collaborate with store staff and colleagues to maintain high-quality merchandising standards, discuss changes, and foster strong working relationships.
  • Report observations and issues to immediate Supervisor.
  • Effectively use web-based applications for various work-related tasks like indicating availability, checking schedules, accepting assignments, recording work details, and completing training.
  • Accurately prepare, process, submit, and manage documentation for assigned resets.
  • Ensure job safety by being fully aware of surroundings, using appropriate safety measures and equipment, and proactively reporting any unsafe conditions to prevent accidents.
  • Adhere to all Acosta policies and procedures.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of Customer Service experience preferred. Previous experience in sales, retail, and resets is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated strengths in the following core competencies:

  • Customer Service - Address customer concerns effectively
  • Communication Skills - Ability to communicate clearly
  • Comfortable with using Technology (e.g. smartphones, handheld devices)
  • Able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in cold environments for limited periods (e.g. refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores).
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate a computer, calculator, telephone, and copier. Capable of standing on a step stool.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills. Effective communication and collaboration with others.
  • Access to the internet daily. Proficient in web-based applications, email, and basic computer programs.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive.
