Job Description

SS Customs is the oldest and most reputable shop on the West Coast that includes the Vehicle Design Studio, catering to discerning clients and corporate companies such as Tesla, Land Rover, Ford, and Chevrolet.

The production and technician team are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of proven PPF experience or who has completed over 100 PPF installations to join our team.

Ideally, the candidate is a professional, proactive, and detail oriented PPF Technician with 3 years of experience, services ambition, energy, knowledge, and proven team building/inter department communication skills. Embracing a singular goal of continued growth; reflecting the ability to remain committed to providing SS Customs with consistent and brand aligned work results. They are to remain current on industry trends and bring to the team an industry proven approach to PPF as a service with excellent service standards. In addition, and regardless of a sometimes-volatile work environment, remaining focused on two major directives – comprehensive product/service understanding and outstanding results.

The position of PPF Technician reports to the Production Manager, Lead PPF Technician, or an approved proxy including the Operations Manager and/or the Managing Director.

The duties and responsibilities will include managing the overall success of not only the assigned PPF project but the department's work environment and the company's processes. This includes established success metrics and intra-department communication. Provide oversight support to related departments including the technician area, impacted workflow such as ceramic coating, product design, and the executive team's analytics inquiries. Further, providing real time assistance in the affected day-to-day operations of SS Customs.

Ultimately, be one of the critical brand ambassadors of not only the PPF department but of the business.

General Responsibilities

· Engage projects by addressing and managing with experience and professionalism.

· Work directly with the Department Lead and Production Manager to understand the assignment.

· Be clear about issues in real time and update your supervisor(s) wherever necessary. To both educate yourself and protect the business from haphazard client commentary.

· Engage in technical discussions with the Lead throughout a project's lifecycle.

· Establish and maintain healthy peer to peer relationships to maximize bandwidth availability.

· Observe all PPF methods within your team, primarily newly introduced techniques/tools, and workflows. Provide concise feedback on potential improvements, especially during the training and workflow-adoption lifecycles.

· Executing a supervisor's instructions regarding goals and its related performance metrics.

· Managing role success metrics and communicate/discuss these analytics with the Lead or managers and where necessary, the Executive Team.

· Effectively engage teammates at appropriate stages in the project's cycle if needed to nurture and advance the skillset or project itself.

· Successfully work with the Executives, Managers, Supervisors, General Operations, Technicians, Marketing, Procurement & Fulfillment, representing all the stakeholders in the workflow.

· Maintain production floor oversight within your department to ensure all projects are progressing at an expected pace, including your own, and keeping the supervisors and managers up to date on any deviations that affect the delivery timeline.

Requirements

· Proven experience in PPF (Paint Protection Film) with a portfolio of completed projects.

· Exceptional attention to detail, a keen eye for quality, and a commitment to perfection.

· Minimum of 3 years of proven experience or has completed over 100 installations to join our team.

· Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

· Proficient in using various tools and equipment related to PPF.

· Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

· Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, depending on the project-centric situation.

· Excellent work and attendance record with demonstrated flexibility to work overtime and alternate assignments as needed.

· Must be physically capable of standing and working on your feet for extended periods (8hrs/day).
