Role Overview: As a Quality Control Manager, you will implement our Quality Management System, ensuring the manufacturing of gas-treating products that exceed customer expectations and comply with all relevant project specifications, drawings, codes, standards, and regulations. While this is an individual contributor role without direct reports, you will collaborate closely with the entire team and provide oversight for the Quality Control program alongside a peer Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization
  • Enhance our quality plan to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards
  • Collaborate with production and development teams to maintain product supply and introduce new products
  • Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation
  • Perform root cause analysis to implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Manage project information, compliance, audit documentation, inspection reports, and testing records
  • Monitor vendor performance and produce statistical and historical reports
  • Provide relevant quality assurance training as needed
  • Analyze performance data and charts against defined parameters
  • Ensure all tests and procedures are properly understood and executed by fabrication and assembly personnel
  • Investigate nonconformities as needed
  • Write technical and management systems reports
  • Adhere to QA compliance objectives and ensure targets are achieved
  • Maintain awareness of business context and profitability, including budgetary control issues
  • Assess product specifications against customer requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in applied science or engineering field or equivalent work experience
  • Certified Welding Inspector (AWS QC1) with knowledge of NBIC Repair and Alterations code and/or API 510
  • Certified Quality Auditor designation preferred
  • Minimum of five years of Quality Assurance experience in Fabrication and Manufacturing to ASME codes
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or API Q1, ASME, NBIC, and API codes and standards
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry or pipe and vessel fabrication shop
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, DB management systems, software applications, and Smartsheet
  • Strong background in pressure vessels, ASME codes Section VIII, B31.3, weld mapping
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Analytical problem solver with a focus on consumer satisfaction
  • High regard for personal safety and the safety of company assets and employees

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily on a 5/10 schedule
  • Limited travel required (approximately 2x per year)
  • Inspection work in the fabrication shop; administrative activities in an office environment
  • Must be available to respond to after-hours, weekend, and holiday issues, including emergencies
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds
