Job Title: Revenue Integrity Specialist

Job Summary:

The Revenue Integrity Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal reimbursement through the timely resolution of billing edits. This position requires a keen eye for detail, effective communication with insurance companies, revenue cycle teams, and clinical departments. Collaborative and independent, team members work together to achieve departmental objectives.


Position Overview:
  • Determines and implements effective strategies to address billing edits promptly.
  • Ensures billing accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Stays informed on Federal, State, and Managed Care billing guidelines.
  • Identifies and resolves issues affecting billing and registration processes.
  • Explores opportunities for automation.
  • Participates in departmental and assigned meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED with 5 years' billing experience, or
  • Associates Degree with 2 years' billing experience

Experience:
  • At least five (5) years' billing experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and coding systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Licensure:
  • Billing or coding certification is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, prolonged standing or sitting, and dexterity for manual tasks.
