Overview:
St.
Luke's Health System is seeking a Security Officer to join our Security team in a brand new state of the art Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in downtown Boise.
Under limited/moderate supervision, the Security Officer is responsible for the safety and well-being of patients, visitors, staff, and hospital property.

Two years minimum experience required in any of the following areas: Security officer, corrections officer, dispatcher, law enforcement (including some forms of military exp.)
*Proof of high school diploma/GED and driver's license + driver's insurance required

Luke's is excited to offer innovative orthopedic patient care at our state-of-the-art Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine facility (COSM).
COSM will bring together numerous complementary healthcare services, such as orthopedic walk-in care, a surgery center, physical therapy, pharmacy services, and many more.
Patients will experience accessible and affordable orthopedic care unlike any other in the Treasure Valley. Our 230,000-square-foot facility opened in February 2024.Responsibilities:
Makes periodic tours of premises and grounds, examining doors, windows and gates to ensure that they are properly secured; guards property against damage, fire, theft, trespassing and illegal entry; controls access to health system facilities.
Applies de-escalation tactics in working with high risk patients, ensuring patients do not harm themselves or others; participates in care plan for high risk individuals, including physical control within established parameters.
Investigates disturbances, may serve as liaison with police, and in the event of an emergency, maintains order and safety of personnel.
May monitor patient, visitor and employee parking in garages, lots and zones, enforce parking regulations and issue parking citations when appropriate.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: 2 years additional relevant experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid driver's license in state of practice and proof of driver's insurance.
