Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care following established healthcare organization policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as needed.
- Act as the primary coordinator for well-coordinated patient care across all disciplines.
- Execute physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Advanced Life Support certification required within 6 months of hire date or job transfer. American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
- BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date or job transfer. American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing required before hire date or job transfer.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Professional licensure at the time of hire.
Previous experience in an ICU setting is preferred.
