Position:

Research Associate for Mammalian Cell Culture

Celltheon is seeking an innovative, independent and motivated professional with expertise in mammalian cell culture. The lead candidate will have experience in transient transfections, stable cell line development, and Bioreactor experience.

We are looking for candidates with strong data management, troubleshooting, analytical and good organization skills.

Job requirements: BS/MS in Biotechnology or related major with 2-3 years of industry experience.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Research Associate at Celltheon Corporation in Union City, CA. As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for supporting cell line and process development services. Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting experiments, analyzing data, maintaining laboratory equipment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your work will contribute to the commercial viability of hard-to-express therapeutic proteins, such as antibody fragments, Fc-fusion proteins, and mAbs, among others.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in cell biology, molecular biology, or related fields
  • Experience in cell line and process development for recombinant biotherapeutics
  • Knowledge of Quality-By-Design (QBD) principles
  • Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation
  • Experience in using laboratory equipment and techniques
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in experimental work
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Previous experience in the biotherapeutics industry is a plus
