Enterprise Portfolio Director

Job Overview:

As the Enterprise Portfolio Director, you will report to the Chief Finance and Operations Officer (CFOO) and lead the management of the organization's project portfolio. Your role involves ensuring alignment with strategic goals and enhancing operational efficiency. Your responsibilities include implementing and refining portfolio management strategies, processes, and tools, fostering stakeholder engagement, and optimizing resource allocation across projects. Driving organizational change to achieve strategic alignment and efficiency will be central to your daily activities, overseeing and managing a diverse project portfolio.

This position demands a proactive stance on risk management and encourages a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in portfolio management practices. You will primarily focus on strategic portfolio management, resource optimization, and fostering organizational efficiency. Your duties will include leading change management initiatives, tracking progress towards organizational objectives through regular portfolio performance assessments, and guiding projects through transitions.

Key Duties:

Strategic Portfolio Management:
  • Create and maintain project portfolio strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Implement portfolio management tools and processes to enhance decision-making.
  • Conduct reviews and audits of ongoing projects.
  • Coordinate the project portfolio group for clarity and efficiency.
  • Introduce portfolio management to the organization and support stakeholders in its adoption.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to keep them informed.
  • Evaluate and select projects based on criteria such as resource availability and risk assessment.
  • Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Assess change impacts at the portfolio level.
Change Management:
  • Provide expertise in managing changes across projects.
  • Promote buy-in and adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Develop strategies to enhance team resilience during changes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators for portfolio health.
Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience for the role.
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • PMP, PMC, ACP, PgMP, CSPO, CSM, SFDC, SAFe.
  • Minimum 8 years in portfolio, program, or project management.
  • Minimum 5 years in change management or leading transformations.
  • Experience in business planning and change communications.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
