Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician - Bismarck, ND

About Us:
We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated CVOR Tech to become part of our team in Bismarck, ND.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cardiovascular operating room procedures, particularly in open heart surgeries, Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), and valve surgeries.

This role demands a strong commitment to delivering top-tier patient care and the willingness to diversify into general OR tasks if CV surgical volumes are low.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Prep the CVOR for surgical procedures and keep it well-maintained.
  • Assist surgeons in open heart surgeries, CABG, and valve procedures.
  • Ensure sterilization and readiness of all essential equipment and supplies.
  • Scrub in and offer direct assistance during surgeries.
  • Uphold a sterile environment and adhere strictly to infection control protocols.
  • Keep track of and manage the inventory of surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Be open to cross-training and aiding in general OR procedures as necessary.
  • Participate in on-call rotation around 3-4 times weekly, including every other weekend.
  • Willingness to move across different areas as needed.

Prerequisites:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) verification.
  • Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) certification.

Working Hours:

  • Guaranteed minimum of 32 hours per week, with the potential for up to 40 hours.
  • 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, starting at 6 AM for open heart surgeries.
  • On-call duties approximately 3-4 times per week, with weekend rotations.
  • First to be assigned in case of staffing requirements.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in CVOR procedures.
  • Proficient in open heart surgeries, CABG, and valve procedures.
  • Ability to independently first scrub during surgeries.
  • Essential willingness to cross-train into general OR roles.
