We are currently looking to hire a Receiving and Inventory Supervisor who will manage the flow of goods and martials within the warehouse.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Receiving:

  • Acceptance of shipments: examine incoming shipments for accuracy, damage and defects. Verify the quantity and quality of items received against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Documentation: ensure all shipments are accompanied by the appropriate documentation (invoiced, delivery notes, etc.). Record and file the document for future reference.
  • Unload goods; safely unload goods from delivery trucks using appropriate equipment.
  • Sorting items: sort and organize received items base don their type, destination and urgency.
  • System updates: enter details of received goods into the inventory management system, updating stock levels and recording any discrepancies or issues.
  • Other duties as assigned

Inventory Management:

  • Organize and store inventory in designated areas, ensuring that items are easily accessible and properly labeled.
  • Inventory accuracy: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, locations, and movements.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Reconcile physical inventory with system records, investigate discrepancies, and report findings to management.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking. Assist in reordering supplies as needed.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and coordinate with management on disposal or clearance strategies.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers and vendors regarding delivery schedules, discrepancies, and returns.
  • Work closely with production, sales, and customer service teams to ensure they have the necessary inventory to meet their needs.
  • Manage the process of returning defective or incorrect items to suppliers.
  • Provide regular reports on inventory status, shortages, and surpluses to relevant departments.
  • Ensure all received goods meet the company's quality standards and specifications.
  • Report any quality issues or damaged goods to the appropriate department for further action.
  • Ensure all receiving and inventory processes comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Utilize inventory management software and tools to track and manage inventory effectively

  • Forklift experience
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Excellent team player
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of inventory methods FIFO (First in, First out).
  • Technical proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
  • Microsoft office proficiency
  • Capability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving goods.
  • Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and issues.
