The Role


You will be part of Seequent Labs, a team focused on research, prototyping, and data science, fostering a culture of experimentation and client engagement. As a data scientist, you will play a vital role within a diverse team, leveraging your expertise in machine learning, AI, and data to develop innovative applications in subsurface modeling. The team's scope encompasses various AI research domains such as computer vision, graphical models, natural language processing, advanced signal processing, unsupervised learning, and clustering, among others.

What You Will Do:
  • Utilize machine learning and AI technologies, including large language models (LLM), for problem-solving.
  • Engage in all stages of creating cutting-edge machine learning applications, from design to deployment.
  • Develop advanced AI/ML algorithms and models, addressing user challenges and driving innovative solutions.
  • Stay updated on AI/ML trends, assist in data acquisition, and ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Effectively communicate data insights, present findings to stakeholders, and contribute to team growth.
  • Collaborate on reports and presentations to enhance the ML team's capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Qualification in machine learning, data science, mathematics, or computer science.
  • Proven experience in machine learning research, including deep learning techniques.
  • Proficiency in utilizing large language models.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining machine learning models and data pipelines.
  • Preferable experience with AI models for imagery, GIS, or 3D data applications.
  • Familiarity with commercial software development and cloud-based data solutions.

  • Data visualization libraries (D3, plotly)
  • Cloud services (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS) and ML ops.
