Position Overview: We are currently looking for a dedicated Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Houston, TX. As an SLPA, you will collaborate closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to deliver comprehensive therapy services to clients of various ages and communication requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute speech-language therapy interventions under licensed SLP supervision.
  • Assist in performing assessments, screenings, and evaluations to diagnose communication disorders.
  • Create and execute personalized therapy plans based on each client's needs and objectives.
  • Provide direct therapy services to clients individually or in groups.
  • Cooperate with team members from different disciplines, such as SLPs, educators, and caregivers, to aid in client advancement.
  • Maintain accurate and current records of therapy sessions and client development.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional growth opportunities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders or a related field.
  • Valid Texas licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA).
  • Prior SLPA work experience preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the capacity to communicate well with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated understanding of speech and language development, disorders, and therapeutic methods.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in utilizing therapy tools, materials, and technology to back client progression.
