The Salisbury VA Health Care System is currently looking for a Registered Nurse (Mental Health Inpatient). This is your chance to join a team that provides specialized care for the ongoing management of behavioral health disorders.
RNs are key players in providing and supervising direct patient care, administering medications, and procedures following established policies and guidelines.

The ideal candidate will embrace the responsibility of coordinating care focused on patient transition, family education, patient self-management after discharge, and factors that impact customer satisfaction. It is crucial to consider all aspects of the individual, including age, health state, background, culture, and values.

As a member of this dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to influence outcomes by collaborating with interdisciplinary team members and actively participating in quality improvement processes and customer service programs.

**Qualifications:**

  • English Language Proficiency
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a nurse

Preferred Experience:
One (1) or more years in Mental Health Services, Behavioral Health Services, or Suicide Risk Management

Grade Determinations:
Criteria detailed for each grade and level

Reference:
VA Regulations, specifically VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-6 Nurse Qualification Standard

Physical Requirements:
Including Heavy lifting, Moderate Lifting, Light Lifting, Heavy Carrying, Moderate Carrying, Light Carrying, Pushing, and more

**Duties:**
- Coordinate patient care through the continuum of care
- Administer medications and procedures following guidelines
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for improved outcomes

Work Schedule:
Full-Time and Part-Time Various Tours of Duty available.
