Our client is looking for a Residential Aide in Deer Park, NY.

CLIENT'S AVAILABLE HOURS

  • All shifts

CLIENT SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide instruction to individuals to promote intellectual, emotional, and social growth, particularly in a group home setting for the developmentally disabled population.
  • Ensure activities are aimed at fostering each individual's highest level of accomplishment.
  • Deliver care and services with a focus on normalization, caring, and concern.
  • Assist individuals with medication intake and daily nutrition.
  • Transport individuals to appointments when necessary.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Strong teaching skills, especially with emotionally, behaviorally, physically, and/or developmentally challenged individuals.
  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED required.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working with the DDD population.
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles (preferred).
  • Valid Driver's License, current TB and Physical (within one year).
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred).
  • NYS OPWDD Clearances expected.
