Job Description:
Responsible for supporting healthcare professionals in delivering patient care, handling patient and equipment transportation, maintaining patient rooms, and managing various clerical, transcription, and unit desk area tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, and manage equipment and supplies.
- Review patient care records for changes and promptly report to the registered nurse or physician.
- Conduct a variety of clerical duties including organizing workload, greeting visitors, researching information, transcribing orders, and maintaining medical records.
- Perform quality assurance audits, safety checks, and supply inventory. Provide administrative support including data entry and audits.
- Offer clinical support such as cleaning work areas, troubleshooting equipment issues, assisting with patient care activities, and contributing to new employee orientation.
- Provide direct personal care to patients as per care plan, record vital signs, and assist with various medical procedures.
- Provide patient education and distribute informational materials.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Nurse Aide I Registry listing with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
- One year of clerical or customer service experience and six months of nursing assistant experience.
- Fluency in verbal and written English.
