The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for an Accountant III to support our corporate office in Orlando, Florida.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.

+ Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.

+ Has overall responsibility for overseeing assigned accounting functions.

+ Collaborate with lower-level accountants and clerical level staff.

+ Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

+ Preferred bachelors degree in directly related field.

+ Associate degree required with at least four (4) years of professional level accounting is acceptable in lieu of bachelors degree.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

+ Minimum of four (4) years directly related experience required.

+ Extensive knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.

+ Must be accurate in both processes and content.

+ Proficient knowledge of Costpoint.

+ Cognos knowledge is a plus.

+ Government Contracting knowledge and experience is preferred.

+ Knowledge of FAR and JTR is preferred.

+ Relies extensively on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
