What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Clinician provides mental health support services to members served and their families at the program. The Clinician also assists in the coordination of all mental health support services provided by the Team.

This includes coordinating and collaborating with team members and outside agencies such as, the Conservator's Office, Public Guardian's Office, Probation Department, County Behavioral Health Services, and housing and inpatient providers.


Shift Available:
Full Time Salaried; Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Expected starting wage range is $66, $77, Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges.

The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed.

Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

  • A Master's Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Registered with the CA BBS with a ASW, AMFT, APCC
  • Two (2) years of experience post masters in mental health setting
  • Personal car that you are willing to use for work
  • Willingness to transport clients in your personal car
  • Driver's License that is valid and in good standing

To Make Referrals:
The Vida ACT program has a closed referral process.

All candidates must be referred by the Office of the Public Defender's Defense Transition Unit (DTU) and the San Diego Sheriff's Department.

All referrals must be screened and accepted before exiting custody and coordinated release to Vida ACT.

Who We Serve:

Adults who have a serious mental illness, have a possible co-occurring substance use disorder, who are justice-involved, are eligible for probation, are on parole, and who may be homeless or at risk of being homeless.


About the Program:

We believe that recovery starts from within and will do whatever it takes to support you on your recovery journey.

We have a multidisciplinary team that includes a nurse practitioner, a program administrator, a licensed team lead, a peer recovery coach, mental health rehabilitation specialists, and case managers with specialties in housing, education, employment, and substance use who are all here to help you on your path.
