DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan is a renowned hospital specializing in rehabilitation medicine and research, with a strong focus on spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, amputee, orthopedics, and catastrophic injury care. Our institute is home to the Center for Spinal Cord Injury Recovery and the Southeastern Michigan Traumatic Brain Injury System (SEMTBIS), recognized as one of only 16 federally designated model systems of care for brain injury treatment and research. Additionally, we operate 31 outpatient facilities across southeast Michigan, specializing in sports medicine and orthopedics.

Job Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at DMC, you will be an integral part of our Patient Care Services Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include managing and administering patient care for a group of individuals and their families by utilizing independent judgment, effective communication, and collaboration with the entire healthcare team, including support services. The role of an RN at DMC involves leadership, partnership, collaboration, teaching, and supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with physicians and healthcare providers
- Delegate, assess, provide, and evaluate patient care
- Assign patient care tasks to team members
- Monitor patient progress and facilitate discharge planning
- Work closely with senior unit management and contribute to decision-making processes

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Graduation from an accredited nursing school
2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
3. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan
4. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
