As a Senior Technical Product Manager on the team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with talented and friendly developers to learn more about the cutting edge technology they use and help shape our strategy and vision.

You'll get to combine your business acumen and technical expertise to discover and deliver innovative solutions to common problems across the organizationAbout the WorkAs a Senior Technical Product Manager on the Core Data Platform team you will:
Work closely with business and engineering stakeholders to discover their pain pointsConduct technical market research to help guide internal decisions on initiativesConduct internal discovery and ideation sessions to validate new ideasWork together with engineering and product stakeholders to gain insights and alignmentGain a working knowledge of cutting edge technologies and concepts (ie. Kafka)

Leverage your insights to help shape the Core Platform team's strategy and roadmapLead the day to day product development process for the Core Platform teamGather and refine technical requirements into executable and testable units of workContinuously improve kanban methodologies used by the team to accelerate processesPrioritize technical backlogs based on engineering and business objectivesManage the release process jointly with the Release Management teamOther duties as requiredAbout You5-8+ years of product management experience in a technical environmentBackground in computer science, business, IT, or related fieldHave working knowledge of various components in a backend system (ie. microservices, databases, messaging system)Have working knowledge of platform thinking and methodologies (ie. designing for reuse, abstracting complexity, etc.)Comfortable going deep into the inner workings of technology to be able to work with developers to collect and prioritize technical requirementsStrong stakeholder and project management skillsStrong communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to senior/executive stakeholdersMust be a team player and self-starterNice to have:

experience with Kubernetes, Databases, Kafka or DataDogNice to have: experience with the data engineering lifecycle, specifically data governance topics such as discoverability, integrity, etc.
