As the Associate Data Engineer, you will collaborate with partners and external stakeholders to collect and process data related to various issues and subjects, aiming to create data-driven solutions for complex business challenges.


Responsibilities:

  • Extracts and processes data from the organization's databases to enhance program development, optimize marketing techniques, and refine business strategies.
  • Evaluates the accuracy and effectiveness of new data sources and data collection methods.
  • Standardizes operational procedures, reviews code, analyzes and interprets datasets, and collaborates with Git for version control.
  • Conducts data analysis to support evaluations and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
  • Independently performs exploratory data analysis to comprehend the organization's data.
  • Interprets results from various sources using techniques ranging from simple data aggregation to complex data mining.
  • Collaborates with data engineers/architects to establish and maintain data pipelines.
  • Works with data scientists to deploy solutions.
  • Maintains and debugs Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Implements process changes through integrating new processes with existing ones and communicates changes to impacted Business Systems teams.
  • Develops meaningful data visualizations to communicate findings to the target audience.
  • Establishes contracts for procuring technical business solutions.
  • Proficient in: SQL, Python, and R.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Informatics, or related fields.
  • 1 – 1.5 years of educational, internship, or professional experience in statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, etc.).
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and R.
  • Azure Data Bricks is preferred
  • Working knowledge of data manipulation and insights extraction from large datasets.
  • Understanding of machine learning, visualization, and storytelling.
  • Ability to research and document findings.
