Job Summary:
The Cardiac Quality Improvement Coordinator Lead is a key role at our company, acting as a valuable resource for the Cardiovascular Service Line. The main responsibilities of the QI Coordinator Lead include collecting, analyzing, and reporting quality improvement information from various sources while maintaining confidentiality.This individual collaborates closely with the Cardiovascular Service Line team to identify opportunities for improvement and special projects. They also play a vital role in training new members of the department.
In addition, the Lead takes the lead in developing and evaluating educational programs related to cardiac care for both the staff and the community. They ensure that the education provided aligns with industry standards and organizational requirements.
Education:
Required:Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Associate's Degree
Preferred:Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
Required:Three to five years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting, with a focus on cardiac care. Interpersonal and computer skills are essential for this role.
Preferred:Experience in management and statistical knowledge is beneficial.
Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration
Required:Current nursing licensure in the State of Tennessee.
BLS certification.
Preferred:CMC or CSC certification.
Department Position Summary:Key responsibilities of the Cardiac Quality Improvement Coordinator include:Documenting Patient CareData collection, identification of cardiac patients for databases, chart reviews, and collaborating on Performance Management plans.Attendance at conferences and meetings, tracking quality indicators, process improvement, data abstraction, and timely data reporting.Works Effectively with Patients, Families, and StaffEstablishing relationships with hospital staff, contacting patients/families postoperatively, and addressing issues constructively.
