Job Description

The Billing Specialist contributes to the achievement of departmental and Providence Health and Services (PH&S) goals by:

- Providing accurate and timely claims billing and account documentation.

The functions described in this position description carry out the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Providence Health and Services by ensuring that all healthcare services provided at the facility are billed and paid both accurately and timely. These functions are performed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and Providence Health and Services policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:
  • 1 year Medical billing experience
  • A track record in organizing and planning with a proven ability to effectively manage time, multi-task, and achieve results in a fast paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Patient Account Technician (CPAT) upon hire

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
