**Job Title: F-18 E/F Aircraft Avionics Technician**
**Job Description**
The F-18 E/F Aircraft Avionics Technician will provide Organizational Level ('O' level) support focusing on the aircrafts Electrical systems. Responsibilities include pre/post flight activities and inspections, reading and interpreting wiring schematics, assembly drawings, and technical manuals. You will use tools like torque wrenches, crimpers, and multi-meters, and perform tasks such as wire repair, component replacement, and system function checks. The role also involves inspecting and maintaining radar, tactical warfare, communication, and weapon systems, as well as software loading and verification. You will troubleshoot avionics issues, provide technical advice, and generate written reports as needed.
**Hard Skills**
+ Understanding of wiring schematics and technical manuals
+ Proficiency with hand tools and specialty tools
+ Experience in wire repair and soldering
+ Knowledge in fiber optic handling and testing
+ Skill in software loading and verification
+ Familiarity with IETM's and Wire Illuminator
+ Understanding of NAVAIR technical publications

**Job Type**
This is a contract position with a duration of 1 Year(s).
**Work Site**
This is a fully on-site position in New Orleans, Louisiana.
**Work Environment**
The position is based at the NAS Joint Reserve Base in New Orleans, LA and supports a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. This role is non-deployable and requires working on-site.
