The Accounts Payable (AP) Lead at Hubbell Incorporated is a key team member responsible for supporting the global Invoice-to-Pay strategy and process by collecting and managing information, analyzing data, problem-solving, communicating effectively, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

A Day In The Life
  • Manage and resolve returned payments, handling vendor master data administration forms following Hubbell policy and procedures
  • Handle all AP telephony inquiries internally and externally
  • Ensure adherence to audit requirements, internal control, and SOX standards for AP processes, supporting annual testing and addressing audit findings
  • Maintain relationships between Shared Service Center, internal Sourcing/Procurement, and external suppliers
  • Oversee paper correspondence, including scanning invoices with available resources/technology
  • Act as the primary escalation point for AP-related issues, collaborating with third party partners and internal stakeholders for issue resolution
  • Address issues with supplier payment programs and processes
  • Monitor and resolve banking emails and issues, coordinating with IT-FICO and Treasury teams when necessary
  • Assist in managing AP reporting, dashboards, and KPIs, recommending process improvements for increased efficiency and performance
  • Supervise Capturis and Taulia processes, handling utility data collection, bill payments, and reconciliations for Hubbell Corporate accounting groups
  • Collaborate with various teams for Concur T&E projects and new process implementations
  • Handle JPMorgan PaymentNet portal for Virtual Card vendors, assist in new program implementations
  • Develop SOPs for education and accountability purposes, assist in annual tax filings
  • Ensure data security and confidentiality compliance
  • Assist in company acquisitions or onboarding processes in SAP
  • Perform any other assigned duties as required
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • Technical Skills: Must have SAP Knowledge, strong proficiency in MS Office Applications, especially Excel
  • Functional Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, action orientation, organizational skills, detail-oriented, strong interpersonal skills, teamwork skills
  • Work Experience: Minimum of three to five years in a multi-company environment, previous experience in Accounts Payable, manufacturing experience is preferred
