General Position Statement:


The Mortgage Application Specialist works with the assigned Customer Relationship Manager or Mortgage Loan Originator to assist mortgage applicants throughout the loan application process through post-closing to provide timely and efficient customer service.


Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist customers in using the mortgage application website and electronically signing documents. Reach out to applicants to complete applications, send applicable disclosures, pull credit and run AUS, as needed.

Request, gather and upload necessary application documentation and maintain follow-up procedure to ensure documents are collected on a timely basis.

Review loan pipeline and missing NOI reports to ensure loan disclosures are provided to borrowers and signed within the required timeframe.

Track the progress of loans and coordinate with other departments, insurance agents and closing attorneys to expedite the loan through the workflow.

Provide the borrower(s) and manager a copy of the appraisal when received. Send loan updates to customers and realtors as the loan transitions to the next milestone.

Communicate with appropriate bank personnel on loans involving secondary or secured financing to ensure all documentation is provided when needed.

Prepare BankPlus Subordination agreement for review and signature.
Monitor loan status dashboards to keep loan pipeline up-to-date with current and active loans.

Review reports with manager and prepare and forward non-originated loans for compliance review and to be closed out of the system in a timely manner.

Follow-up on any post-closing suspense items to ensure loans are purchased within the allotted time to avoid additional costs being incurred by the bank.

Assist with servicing questions and issues related to BankPlus serviced mortgage loans. Coordinate with borrowers and the bank serving team to collect payment and answer payment-related questions, as needed.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Participate in the bank's High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
Make referrals to Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including by not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc.

Complete required compliance training and adheres to the bank's standard of conduct.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Minimum of five years' experience working in a professional environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work outside of regular business hours, as deemed necessary and to multi-task and work effectively in a high -pressured environment.
