At DCS, we are looking for skilled Electricians to join our team and work on repair, replacement, and maintenance of State-owned roadway and facility lighting systems. If you are ready to take on this challenge, keep on reading
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and repair activities on lighting systems.
- Respond promptly to notifications of malfunctioning lighting assets and ensure timely repairs.
- Maintain and operate various tools and equipment necessary for the job.
- Set up temporary traffic control zones as needed.
- Keep accurate documentation of work.
- Adhere to installation and maintenance guidelines and standards.
Additional Responsibilities for Level I and II Electricians:
- Conduct field inspections and determine work needs.
- Estimate material quantities and prioritize tasks.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase requisitions.
- Coordinate outsourcing of major work needs.
- Provide technical guidance to team members.
- Ensure quality workmanship standards are met.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the electrical trade.
Experience Required:
- Knowledge of electrical theory and practices.
- Ability to read and understand OSHA standards.
- Proficient in operating tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Capable of performing math calculations and accurate recordkeeping.
- Work effectively and safely in elevated locations.
