Join us on a mission to advance medicine.WhyUMPhysicians? Under the direction of the Interventional Radiologist/Physician, the technologist prepares patients for procedures, verifies orders and patient history to ensure appropriateness of exam/procedure.
Technologist performs diagnostic procedures including complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures.The Interventional Radiology Technologist is intimately familiar with sterile procedures including preparation and maintaining a sterile field during procedures,adheres to standard precautions at all times, participates as a vital member of a multi-disciplinary care delivery team consisting of interventional radiologists, physician assistants, nurses, and technologists, and supports ambulatory care services.
Interventional Radiology Technologist Overview Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1.Prepares patients for interventional procedures by confirming physician orders, verifying patient identities, and obtaining adequate medical histories to ensure the appropriateness of examinations/procedures and facilitate timely accurate diagnosis or treatment of the patient.
Maintains a sterile field during interventional procedures, following principles of aseptic technique, and adheres to standard precautions at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Radiation Technology. Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology. 1-3 Years progressively more complex IR Experience Current CPR certification Location: 909 Fulton St SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455 Hours:
