JOB DESCRIPTION
The position of Registered Nurse at D'Youville Pavilion plays a vital role as part of the patient care team, ensuring the delivery of both direct and indirect patient care across all unit areas.
The RN's responsibilities include assessing patients upon admission and during their stay, creating and regularly updating personalized, interdisciplinary care plans, discussing discharge plans/instructions with patients and families, and documenting discharge summaries. Additionally, they will administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products according to established clinical standards and policies.
3 West, a 42-bed long-term care unit, offers essential care to residents in need of long-term placement in a homelike environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Associates Degree in Nursing Required
- Valid State of Maine RN License Required
- BLS Certification Required
Experience:
- At least 1 year of previous experience preferred, though not mandatory
Additional Skills:
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities
