JOB SUMMARY:
The Personal Trainer is a member of our Personal Training team.

This role contributes to the profitability of the club by recruiting new personal training clients and retaining the current clients.

Personal Trainers are expected to provide effective training to clients, develop a quality club environment and ensure excellent customer service.

In this role you will provide nutritional coaching, scripted workouts, and monthly fitness evaluations to motivate each client to reach their individual goals.

Personal Trainers will also help with daily operations of the personal training department, which includes "making phone calls, setting up promotion tables, seminars, and doing demo PT sessions" to name a few.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • WHAT YOU WILL DO: Create, document, and implement one on one/group exercise programs based on the realistic needs and goals of client.
Carry out fitness assessments and evaluations with all clients every month.
Educate client on basic exercise physiology.
Provide safe and effective demonstration of all fitness equipment and exercises.
Provide safe and effective exercise and spotting techniques as well as nutritional recommendations.
Modify specific exercises to accommodate various skill levels.
Maintain a daily account of client exercise programming and progressions.
Keep 30 days of availability on your calendar.

Ensure a clean and safe environment for ALL club members by personally racking weights, encouraging members to rack weights, and put-up dumbbells, stability balls, and mats in their designated area.

Educate yourself on all facility emergency procedures and be able to respond quickly in case of an emergency.
Attend and participate in required meetings, trainings and workshops as needed.

  • WHO YOU ARE: National Certification through one of the following certifying bodies: NSCA, NASM, NESTA, AAAI, or ACSM.
Current CPR/AED certification and cannot be done online.
Maintain and provide current certifications and updated information to the People Operations department.
Possess basic computer skills and basic writing, spelling, and math skills.
Highly organized and possess good planning skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to walk and stand up to 8 hours/day and/or sit for an extended period of time.

Team members may be exposed to cleaning chemicals or airborne particles and will be required to wear designated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed.

Team members are occasionally required to use hands and fingers for handle or feel; occasional reach, push and pulling with arms and hands; occasional climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and occasional reach and twist, including side-to-side movements.

The team member may be required to occasionally lift, carry or move up to 25 pounds and may seldom be required to lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.
