As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are excited to welcome new members to our team who share our passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.
The primary responsibilities of the traveling nurse will include visiting our facilities located in Macomb and Port Huron, to provide medical support, guidance, and assistance to our managers and staff.
In addition to offering clinical expertise, the nurse will play a crucial role in training staff members and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.
Moreover, the traveling nurse will serve as a point of contact for families, addressing their concerns with empathy and professionalism while working collaboratively to find effective solutions.
Our nurse will be traveling to Macomb and Port Huron.
Duties also include:
Set up medications as prescribed by physician
Medication audits
Provide phone support regularly to supervisors, med techs and caregivers
Implement our training program
Conduct rounds to observe residents and to ensure nursing and restorative needs are being met
Admit, transfer and discharge residents as necessary
Assist on the floor as needed
Consult with physicians in planning resident care, treatment, rehabilitation and change of condition
Requirements:
Current license to practice as an LPN or RN in Michigan
Current CPR certification
Valid driver's license and insurance on vehicle
Basic computer skills; experience utilizing electronic charting desired
Able to drive up to 75% of the time
