Job DescriptionJob Description

Summary: Seeking a Build Strategist who will lead the assembly and coordination of vessel build strategies, focusing on essential processes to determine profitable approaches.

Job Requirements:

  • Determine optimal time phasing for installation of vessel machinery/special components
  • Interface with Estimating, Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and Production to ensure accurate vessel build strategies
  • Provide Yard Capacity resources and constraints for Vessel Construction
  • Mentor Field Engineers to facilitate consistent interface between Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production for Construction Support

Preferred Skills:

  • Considerable knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering practices applicable to division products
  • Knowledge of modern shipbuilding including Master Schedules, Product Work Breakdown Structures etc.
  • Good knowledge of measuring devices/tools with ability to instruct personnel on proper operation
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel, customers and regulatory agents

Experience & Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field or related areas along with extensive experience in construction design/build strategy development
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
