MAHUBE-OTWA is currently seeking a Head Start Site Coordinator to play a crucial role in overseeing the provision of educational and family support services in Head Start (HS) / Early Head Start (EHS) settings. This position entails coordinating activities in various locations, including centers, home base, and childcare sites, with a focus on empowering children and families from diverse backgrounds facing poverty. By collaborating with program staff and community resources, you will contribute to offering pathways towards self-sufficiency for these communities.

  • Compensation: $29.26 per hour
  • Working Hours: Day Shift, Monday - Friday, full-time (40 hours/week), year-round employment with reduced summer hours
  • Work Arrangement: Partial Remote work; travel within a designated 5-county area required
  • Locations: Detroit Lakes, MN or Mahnomen, MN

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Education or Human Services, with a focus on Early Childhood Education
  • A minimum of five years experience in delivering comprehensive services to families with young children (birth-5 years)
  • Demonstrated expertise in areas such as planning, organization, and supervision
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including email, internet usage, and data entry
  • Sound knowledge of health, nutrition, early childhood development, and Head Start Performance Standards
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders
  • Strong organizational abilities, adaptability, and resourcefulness
  • Must maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information effectively
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory
  • Valid Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and a good driving record are required
  • Must be eligible to work with young children as per DHS Background Study guidelines
