FT :10-hour shifts 4 days a week including Call

On Call for 10-13 days a month includes weekends

ARRT or RCIS Certification Needed

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist supports Physicians during catheterization / electrophysiology lab procedures. They prepare the room and equipment, give instructions to patients, monitor patient's condition, and provide routine and emergency patient care during procedures. Additionally, they assist in the training of other team members and participate in quality control initiatives through audits and reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Support Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, pacemaker and cardiac defibrillator implants, diagnostic and interventional procedures, peripheral and coronary interventions, and thrombolytic therapy.Adhere to national and state radiation protection regulations for patients and staff, providing emergency procedures such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and defibrillation when necessary.Provide pre and post-procedure care and monitor patient status.Orient patients for catheterization or electrophysiology procedures and address any related queries to ensure patient comfort.Monitor ECG, pressures, temperature, and other vital signs during Electrophysiology Lab procedures, notifying physicians of any deviations.Assist in operating RF/Cryo ablation systems, 3D mapping, and maintaining procedural documentation.Manage and organize images including stenosis testing, formatting, and processing for both cardiac and peripheral cases.
