Position Summary
Engineers design and implement computer and information networks, such as intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. May also design network and computer security measures. May research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.

Blackspoke Engineers will work as part of a larger team to accomplish goals and complete projects required by the customer and will be expected to manage their day-to-day workload under minimal supervision from a manager or team member.


Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Manage and monitor medium-sized systems and simple infrastructure.
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools in a single domain environment.
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability in a single domain environment.

Monitor and test application performance on a single domain environment for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.

Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies appropriate for a single domain environment.
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on standard tasks.
Participate in the design of standard information and operational support systems.
Provide tier 2 and tier 3 level support on standard requests.
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution on medium-sized efforts.

Use SOPs and other documentation in order to create patching schedules, complete routine patching activities, and manage ad hoc bug fixes.

May be required to move 5-40 pounds.
May require a flexible schedule based on customer need (on-call support or rotating shifts).
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
What you will be working on
Designs, architects, deploys, and maintains cloud solutions.
Analyze customer requirements and provide technical expertise on cloud cluster computing techniques and technologies of high complexity
Research, evaluate, and deploy advanced cloud computing systems supporting large data analytics
Assist customers with data integration and migration efforts
Maintains current and advanced knowledge of progressive and advancing technology

Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience

Required Technical Skills:
Extensive knowledge of cloud technology, experience with Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, experience providing infrastructure support in a hybrid-cloud environment, cloud administration experience

Security Clearance Level:
TS/SCI with CI polygraph

Required Skills and Abilities:
Works independently under limited supervision, possess current DoD IAT II Level certification

Location:
On Customer Site

Preferred Skills:
Experience with Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure in the TS region, cloud-hosted desktop support (AWS Workspaces and/or Azure AVD), SAS Visual Analytics infrastructure experience
