Responsibilities of a Freezer Tech:
  • Ensure smooth production flow, product quality, and workplace safety
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including freezer inventory documentation
  • Assist with product de-panning processes
  • Manage product flow post-baking
  • Keep freezers clean and well-organized
  • Monitor WIP counts and organization
  • Organize perishable freezer items
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in waste tote area
  • Monitor and address ice buildups in freezers
  • Support inventory management for raw materials, cardboard, and freezer items
  • Implement allergen segregation practices
Requirements for a Freezer Tech:
  • Ability to grasp and apply knowledge of various products (e.g., cake icing, garnishing, lot dates)
  • Prior experience of 6+ months in a related field
  • Capability to handle manual tasks with product weighing up to 1100 to 1300 lbs
  • Familiarity with safety, quality, and GMP policies in a manufacturing setting
  • Physical agility to perform different tasks under varied conditions
  • Readiness to comply with safety gear requirements
  • Adaptability to work in cold environments ranging from -2 to -30 degrees
